Stan Giles (East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland) received this letter from Christine, a nurse tutor and Reiki practitioner, who had studies EFT with him:

My husband has suffered severe vertigo for the past 4 years which has incapacitated him greatly. When the attacks were at their worst, he was unable to walk properly and much to his embarassment, he even fell over onto the ground when outside on a couple of occasions. Obviously it was impossible for him to drive whilst like this and he was becoming increasingly depressed as his absences from work were becoming prolonged.

He was investigated by the NHS, being referred to the ENT [Ear, Nose & Throat] department at our local hospital but they could find no ENT problems and he was told this was a condition he may have to learn to live with.

Realising the problem may not be ENT related, he asked our GP [doctor] if he could be referred to a Chiropractic but this was dismissed as being a waste of time. So he sought a Chiropractic on his own and after an examination, was told the trouble stemmed from a very unstable cervical verebra. He underwent treatment with the Chiropractic which resulted in some relief and a better quality of life than before but it was always only temporary and his visits to the Chiropractic were starting to become more frequent as the effect of the treatment started to decline.

Following the EFT [Emotional Freedom Technique] study day, I was desperate to try and use it to help him but he is the greatest sceptic and initially wouldn't entertain it at all. However with a bit of persuasion he agreed to let me take him through it.

He rated the problem at the start as being 200 out of 10 !!! When we had finished, he rated it as 7 out of 10 and the truth is, we were both amazed at the outcome. The next day without any more sessions, the vertigo had lessened until within a few days it had disappeared completely and it has never returned since.

He is not a great ambassador for 'fringe' therapies but he is totally convinced that it was the EFT technique that cured him of his ailment and he is more than happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a resolution to their problem. That, from my adored sceptic is worthy praise indeed!
